In PhotoPuppet HD you can record your scenes using virtual camera. This technique allows you to add a dynamic viewpoint and present the scene exactly as you would by recording it with a real camera (using for ex. zoom).

We created a quick & dirty tutorial for anyone interested in how to transfer drawings (such as characters for animation) to PhotoPuppet HD and prepare them for animation. You can scan or photograph any content, divide it’s moving parts and attach them again in PhotoPuppet. Watch our video.

1. Scan a drawing or take a picture with your iPhone or camera.

3. Use a graphics program (like Photoshop or Gimp) to cut a background (you can remove the background in PhotoPuppet HD as well- use “Color picker” in Puppet editor).

4. Mail files with your drawing or picture to your email account, receivable on iPad.

5. Receive photos on an iPad and save them to “Photo library”.
